Keep The Fire In The Chimney
Thursday, October 4th, 2018, 4:12 pmHaving had clients who have experienced losses resulting from chimney fires, we are very aware of the devastating effects. Thank goodness we have not witnessed any serious injuries or loss of life. Chimney fires can cause significant property damage and the trauma can be overwhelming. When a chimney fire occurs, the fire may be contained to one area of the house. However, even when it is extinguished quickly, the resulting smoke damage is very devastating. Quite often, either partial or full gut renovations are needed to remove the lingering smoke odor. Chimney fires can easily be avoided by having your chimney checked each year. We are sharing this article published by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) which we believe has important information that can help avoid a distressing loss to you and your family.
